Hi!
I’m Shellie, and MastiffFanClub.com is my baby! This site is a labor of love. So if you’re a Mastiff lover like me, please join me and the rest of our fellow Mastiff lovers in letting the world know just how AWESOME Mastiffs truly are!
Here’s a picture of me with my husband, Ben, at Disney World. Together we have enjoyed our many animals over our 40 years of marriage. But we have especially enjoyed our 4 adult children and 5 beautiful grandchildren. Every day I wake up knowing I’ve been blessed beyond measure!
Here at the Mastiff Fan Club, it is my passion and pleasure to provide a FUN and INFORMATIVE place where TRUE MASTIFF LOVERS can come together. So come enjoy your fellow Mastiff lovers, and come enjoy some Mastiffs!
3 GOLDEN RULE PROMISES
But first, I need to get something off my chest, so please forgive me for complaining briefly. I don’t know about you, but I HATE most websites out there that are CLUTTERED with ANNOYING BANNER ADS! I can’t even read all the page sometimes because the ads cover the content. At least for me, the distraction from those banner ads ruins the fun of surfing the web. So I AVOID IT!
With that in mind, I have created a website which is grounded on the principle of the golden rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” This is a principle I was taught as a little girl, and I still do my best to follow it today. So here are my 3 GOLDEN RULE PROMISES TO YOU:
- NO BANNER ADS!
- NO PANHANDLING! We will never hound people for money.
- NO SECRETS! We will be transparent and honest in what we say and do,
Now let me explain how this website is funded. The truth is we need your financial help to survive. But don’t worry, we will not clutter this site with banner ads, or hound you for donations.
Instead, from time to time, we will offer high quality products and services that will be a blessing for you and your Mastiff. We will ONLY recommend high quality and reputable products and services which have benefited many people, including many Mastiff lovers. We will recommend what we have found to be the BEST products and services at the BEST price available.
But here’s the part I want you to understand. Whenever we suggest a product or service to benefit you and your Mastiff, we will include A SPECIAL LINK in a simple, unobtrusive way. If you determine this product or service will benefit you and your Mastiff, great! WHEN YOU MAKE A PURCHASE THROUGH THAT LINK, MASTIFF FAN CLUB WILL RECEIVE A SMALL COMMISSION WHICH WILL ENABLE US TO KEEP THE LIGHTS ON AND THE DOORS OPEN!
Funding this project in this way is a WIN WIN! You win by getting something you and your Mastiff need. And the Mastiff Fan Club wins by getting a small commission (without costing you any extra money) to cover our expenses. And it’s done with NO BANNER ADS, NO PANHANDLING and NO SECRETS. So, thank you in advance for any purchases you make through our special links.
Now for the fun part! Let me tell you WHY I LOVE MASTIFFS, and what motivated me to start this Mastiff Fan Club.
SIMBA TO THE RESCUE
Here at the Dale Farm, we LOVE animals. Over the years, we’ve enjoyed horses, ponies, goats, cats, chickens, rabbits, chameleons, turtles, hedgehogs, hamsters, rats, fish… You get the idea.
But out of all the animals we have enjoyed throughout our lives, dogs have constantly proven to us time and time again why they are “mans’ BEST friend.” And they were always a part of my life as a child growing up. And Mastiffs have always been extra special to our family. It all began with our introduction to our very FIRST Mastiff…Simba.
Before I continue telling you about Simba, I have to tell you about Waco. That was our neighbors’ Rottweiler. And he was the proverbial neighborhood BULLY.
Any time we came close to the fence between our property and our neighbor’s property, Waco would ferociously rush the fence trying to scare us. He would also try to scare us every time we went to get our mail since our mailbox was also close to Waco’s house. As I said, he was a BULLY!
But now, enter Simba, our newest rescued 2 year old at that time. She was a big, beautiful 150 lb brindle English Mastiff. Her brindle coloring was so dark, she almost appeared to be black, and her shiny coat shimmered in the sunlight.
The day we brought her home, she instinctively knew this was HER HOME. And she immediately started roaming over the property, checking out her domain. She had lots of room to roam, but we were amazed at how quickly she could get around the property in her explorations.
While Simba was busy exploring, we were busy with a project that took us near the fence next to Waco’s house. And as usual, Waco rushed toward the fence barking wildly trying to scare us. Did I already mention, Waco was the neighborhood BULLY?
But then in that instant, to our shock and delight, while once again Waco was being his usual neighborhood bully, we heard a DEEP and VERY LOUD guttural sound we had never heard before. And in a flash, Simba attacked the fence where Waco was barking. When Waco HEARD and then SAW our MASSIVE MASTIFF, Waco yelped and ran in the opposite direction.
As you can probably guess, Waco NEVER rushed the fence again. As a matter of fact, Waco wouldn’t come anywhere near the fence or the mailbox for fear he would encounter Simba. And that was our first introduction to Mastiffs. Simba was ALWAYS ready and willing to come to our rescue. We learned from experience that Mastiffs truly are GENTLE GIANTS who are lovers first and foremost, but who are also very willing and able to “THROW THEIR WEIGHT AROUND”.
I LOVE MASTIFFS
As I said before, I love Mastiffs. MastiffFanClub.com is BOTH a WEBSITE where Mastiff Fans can come to visit, and a COMMUNITY where Mastiff lovers like YOU AND ME can BELONG.
If you’re like me, when you REALLY LOVE something, you’ve got to tell others about it. You can’t just keep it to yourself. Part of the fun of loving something or someone is being able to brag about the thing we love,
So that’s why I created this platform. Our community is a place where we can all BRAG about our Mastiffs. I shared a brief story above about our first Mastiff, Simba. Do you have a story or something to share about YOUR MASTIFF? (I KNOW YOU DO!) If so, I want to hear all about it. Actually, our entire Mastiff Fan Club community would love to hear all about it.
